Rihanna Gets Super Sexy At V Festival
She donned the stage in a pair of short, short, short denim shorts embellished with silver cone studs and a cropped Union Flag print top accessorized with safety pins. She completed her sexy outfit with a black, fishnet stockings and a silver studded black leather jacket.
Rihanna and Drake: It's On!
They were caught kissing at the Buonanotte supper club in Montreal, Canada last month, and have been spending a lot of time together since. But don’t hold your breath waiting for a wedding just yet---apparently it’s a super casual fling at this point.
A source told the New York Post newspaper: “They (Rihanna and Drake) are definitely attracted to each other. But she's all about her career, and he wants to date around."
They briefly dating in 2009 after the whole Chris Brown incident but it didn’t work out because Rihanna didn’t want a relationship at the time. Can’t blame the girl.
Just last year Rihanna said: "I definitely was attracted to Drake, but I think it is what it is - it was what it was. We didn't want to take it any further. It was at a really fragile time in my life, so I just didn't want to get too serious with anything or anyone at that time."
Rihanna spent last Thursday night partying at the Greenhouse club in New York City with her brother and cousins, and wouldn’t even give someone else the time of day because she’s reportedly so into Drake.
Rihanna: Fame Kills Your Love Life
I have idea why that would be, it’s not like she’s dated everyone from Colin Farrell to Drake, or that she has 10 number one hits on the Billboard hot 100 charts and she’s only 23, or that she told Cosmo magazine that she likes her men “hot and hung.” No idea why any of those things would make a man feel intimidated!
“It can definitely be intimidating to guys to date someone in this industry. And it’s really hard to find a guy who doesn’t care about that stuff,” the Barbados singer has said.
Rihanna was recently linked to Los Angeles Dodger Matt Kemp but she hints that she is single when she admitted that she is “open to love.” She tells UK Cosmo mag her theories on a good relationship, “Guys should have to earn it. Because the minute they get it, they want something else.”
Preach it girl. However, as much as RiRi claims it’s hard to date when you are soooo famous, she seems to like to make men work for it. “Men like the thrill of the chase when it comes to pursuing a mate, so you have to keep ‘em guessing. I’m like that too. I get bored fast.”
Rihanna: I Like My Men 'Hung'
Rihanna confessed that a guy with a large package is her main priority when choosing men. Hmm…and she wonders why she keeps picking the wrong men.
Asked by US Cosmopolitan magazine how she likes her men, Rihanna replied: "Hot and hung, but sweet will do!
"I'm turned on to a guy by different things. It could be the way he looks. It could be his intelligence. It's really a spontaneous thing.”
And when it comes to dating, she admits she gets bored easily because for the most part she dates like a man.
She added: "I'm open to love but guys should have to earn it because the minute they get it, they want something else. Men are like hunters; they like the chase. So you have to keep them guessing.
"Actually, I'm like that too. I get bored very quickly. So if someone can make me laugh, that's the best."

RIHANNA - RIHANNA WANTS TO HELP DOMESTIC VIOLENCE VICTIMS
RIHANNA is determined to use her pop star status to help other women who fall victim to domestic abuse, following her notorious bust-up with ex-boyfriend CHRIS BROWN.
The pop star was thrust into the limelight following the February (09) incident, which left her battered and bruised at the hands of her former lover.
Rihanna kept completely quiet in the press as she recovered, but she's now ready to use the media attention to help other women caught in violent relationships.
She tells America's Glamour magazine, "Domestic violence is a big secret. No kid goes around and lets people know their parents fight. Teenage girls can’t tell their parents that their boyfriend beat them up. You don’t dare let your neighbour know that you fight. It’s one of the things we (women) will hide, because it’s embarrassing. My story was broadcast all over the world for people to see, and they have followed every step of my recovery.
"The positive thing that has come out of my situation is that people can learn from that. I want to give as much insight as I can to young women, because I feel like I represent a voice that really isn’t heard. Now I can help speak for those women."
Disgraced singer Brown pleaded guilty to assaulting Rihanna after a pre-Grammy Awards party and has since been sentenced to community service and five years' probation.
RIHANNA - RIHANNA: 'I'VE NEVER BEEN IN LOVE'
Pop star RIHANNA is looking forward to new romances following her failed relationship with disgraced singer CHRIS BROWN - because she has "never been in love".
The 21 year old had been dating the Kiss Kiss hitmaker for a little more than a year when he assaulted her after a pre-Grammy Awards party in Los Angeles in February (09).
Brown has confessed he still has strong feelings for the Bajan beauty, despite a judge ordering him to stay away from her for the next five years.
But Rihanna insists she is now moving on and looking for love once again, and hopes to have settled down in 10 years' time.
She tells America's Glamour magazine, "I hope I find love in the next 10 years - that will be pretty annoying if I am 31 and still have never been in love! But yeah, I'd like to be in a great place in both my personal life and my career. I still want to be doing what I love. Whatever that is in 10 years, I don't know."
RIHANNA - RIHANNA: 'I TURNED INTO BRITNEY AFTER BROWN BEATING'
RIHANNA struggled to cope with the overnight surge in media interest after she was beaten by ex-boyfriend CHRIS BROWN, insisting she suddenly became hunted like paparazzi favourite BRITNEY SPEARS.
The Umbrella hitmaker went into hiding after the vicious bust-up in February (09), which left her bloodied and bruised, and landed her ex-lover community service and five years probation for assault.
The singer admits she wasn't expecting to be the subject of so much international press attention.
She tells America's Glamour magazine, "It has taught me so much. I felt like I went to sleep as Rihanna and woke up as Britney Spears. That was the level of media chaos that happened the next day. It was like, What, there are helicopters circling my house? There are 100 people in my cul-de-sac? What do you mean, I can’t go back home?"
And she found it difficult to keep quiet after a photo of her injured face, taken after the incident, was allegedly leaked online by police sources.
She adds, "It was humiliating; that is not a photo you would show to anybody. I felt completely taken advantage of. I felt like people were making it into a fun topic on the internet, and it’s my life. I was disappointed, especially when I found out the photo was (supposedly leaked by) two women."
Two female cops were suspended in September (09) after the horrifying photo was published on celebrity website TMZ.com shortly after the bust-up.
Comment on this story RIHANNA - RIHANNA SPEAKS ABOUT CHRIS ATTACK
Rihanna found it hard to come to terms with ex-boyfriend Chris Brown assaulting her because he was her first true love.
Rihanna has finally spoken out about the night Chris Brown attacked her, saying it could have happened to anyone.
The 'Umbrella' singer - who was left battered and bruised after her ex-boyfriend assaulted her in February at a pre-Grammys party - knows she isn't the only person to be the victim of domestic abuse.
She said: "This happened to me. It can happen to anyone."
However, the 21-year-old beauty admitted it was hard to come to terms with because of the feelings she had for the 'Run It' singer.
She says in an episode of US TV show 'Good Morning America' due to air on Thursday (05.11.09): "He was definitely my first big love."
Chris recently gave an interview about the assault and spoke of his regret about attacking Rihanna and told how he is trying his best to make amends.
He said: "I'm human. If people feel a certain way, I'm not going to say they're wrong. But it's not right to judge somebody when people make mistakes all the time.
"I've learned from my mistakes and I'm learning from them. And I regret every moment, every second of it."
Chris attacked Rihanna in his car as they left a pre-Grammy Awards party in February, repeatedly punching her in the face and biting her arms.
He pleaded guilty to assault and in August was sentenced to six months of community service, 12 months of domestic violence counselling and five years probation.
The judge also issued a restraining order which requires him to stay at least 100 yards from Rihanna for five years.
NCOM says: Blame Rihanna! She Deserved It
LOS ANGELES/EWORLDWIRE/Nov. 5, 2009 — Pop singer Rihanna recently made a widely publicized statement to Glamour Magazine that she wants to “shed light on the reality of domestic violence.” The National Coalition For Men (NCFM) calls on Rihanna to discuss her own reported violence against Brown as well if she wants to shed light on the problem honestly.
According to court records and other sources, Rihanna struck Brown in the face “numerous times” before Brown assaulted her (’http://news.ninemsn.com.au/entertainm
The saying, “There is no excuse for domestic violence,” applies to both sexes. Female violence in relationships is not rare but is often hypocritically deemed acceptable or humorous, such as in the film, Sideways. It is part of the cycle of domestic violence, which cannot be stopped without addressing the problem honestly. Children are damaged just by witnessing domestic violence, regardless of its severity.
A 32-nation study by the University of New Hampshire found women are as violent and as controlling as men in relationships worldwide (’http://www.unh.edu/news/cj_nr/2006/ma
‘http://pubpages.unh.edu/~mas2/ID41E2.p
A major study funded by the Centers for Disease Control found one-fourth of heterosexual relationships had violence and: “half (49.7%) of those were reciprocally violent. In nonreciprocally violent relationships, women were the perpetrators in more than 70% of the cases.” (’http://www.ajph.org/cgi/content/abstr
The same study also found “while injury was more likely when violence was perpetrated by men, in relationships with reciprocal violence it was the men who were injured more often (25% of the time) than were women (20% of the time).” (’http://pn.psychiatryonline.org/cgi/co
Over 200 studies now confirm the same thing, that “women are as physically aggressive, or more aggressive, than men in their relationships with their spouses or male partners,” as California State University Professor Martin Fiebert shows in his online bibliography at ‘http://www.csulb.edu/~mfiebert/assa
If Rihanna sincerely wants to raise awareness about domestic violence, NCFM calls on her to be forthcoming about her own violence and to address the problem honestly.
Mariah Carey - Mariah Carey Abuse Confession
'Obsessed' singer Mariah Carey has admitted she was ''abused'' in a relationship, hinting it was at the hands of ex-husband Tommy Mottola.
Mariah Carey has been abused.
The 'Obsessed' singer - who married actor-and-rapper Nick Cannon in 2008 - has spoken out about how she has been affected by the struggle she faced in previous relationships and hinted her ex-husband Tommy Mottola was responsible for her ordeal.
She said: "Abuse has several categories. Emotionally, mentally, in other ways. I just think you get into a situation and you feel locked in. If your situation is similar to one of the situations I've been in, which I won't harp on. For me, to really get out, it was difficult because there was a connection that was not only a marriage but a business thing where the person was in control of my life."
Mariah wed music executive Tommy in 1993 after he signed her to the music label CBS Records. They separated just three years later and divorced in 1998.
The 40-year-old beauty also spoke out in support of 'Rehab' singer Rihanna, who was assaulted by her ex-boyfriend Chris Brown earlier this year following a pre-Grammy's party.
Mariah admitted she can empathise with the 21-year-old starlet's experience of domestic abuse.
She told US TV talk show host Larry King: "I was very sequestered, as you know, when I first started out and if I were just allowed to be young and with a young boyfriend who's also a star and you know, you're working and you're both — I don't know what goes on. You know what I mean? So it's like, I wasn't really allowed out of the house, so I can't imagine what she went through."
Meanwhile, the singer-turned-actress says she is desperate to have children with Nick, but is waiting for a gap in her career.
She explained: "Being pregnant would be the happiest thing in my life, but what I'm saying is right now with this movie 'Precious' coming out, with the next few singles from the album and those things that I'm doing, I need to focus on that because I cannot do the having-a-child thing halfway."
Rihanna Talks About How She Coped With Assault
Rihanna is finally speaking out about the Chris Brown assault that took place in February. She spoke to Glamour Magazine about the incident and how much attention she got afterwards.
"I went to sleep as Rihanna and woke up as Britney Spears," Rihanna tells Glamour in its December issue. "That was the level of media chaos that happened the next day."
She adds: "The positive thing that has come out of my situation is that people can learn from that. I want to give as much insight as I can to young women, because I feel like I represent a voice that really isn't heard."
In regards to the infamous leaked photo of Rihanna looking bruised and battered, she said, "That is not a photo you would show to anybody.".
"I felt completely taken advantage of . . . like people were making it into a fun topic . . . and it's my life. I was disappointed, especially when I found out the photo was [supposedly leaked by] two women."
Rihanna will also be speaking to Diane Sawyer on Good Morning America on Thursday. During that interview she talks about Chris being her first love. Rihanna's new album hits stores on November 23 so we will be seeing a lot of the singer in the coming month.

LAPD probes Rihanna beating photo
The Los Angeles Police Department opened an internal investigation late Thursday into whether a picture posted on a celebrity gossip website purportedly showing the bloody and bruised face of R&B star Rihanna was part of police evidence in the case, department officials said in a statement.
The photo posted by TMZ.com at 8:39 p.m. Eastern Standard Time time under the headline "Rihanna -- The Face of a Battered Woman" showed a woman said to be Rihanna with her eyes closed, a fat lip and apparent bruising to her forehead. The site ran a short sentence above the photo stating "TMZ has obtained a photo of Rihanna taken after Chris Brown allegedly beat her."
The LAPD currently is investigating an alleged altercation between Rihanna and singer Chris Brown, who police said injured the female artist during a fight the couple had last week in a Hancock Park neighborhood the morning of the Grammy Awards.
The department issued a statement that said the photograph has the appearance of one taken during an official domestic violence investigation.
"The Los Angeles Police Department takes seriously its duty to maintain the confidentiality of victims of domestic violence," it read. "The Department launched an immediate internal investigation and subsequently filed a personnel complaint. A violation of this type is considered serious misconduct, with penalties up to and including termination."
Brown was arrested Feb. 8 on suspicion of making criminal threats but was not immediately charged because the Los Angeles County district attorney's office said police needed to gather additional evidence in the case.
Police sources have said that Rihanna is cooperating with investigators in building a domestic violence case against Brown and indicated that she had suffered bruises and a scratch on her face resulting from the early morning altercation with Brown. She was treated at a "major medical facility," a police source said.
Brown, 19, who has a double-platinum record and dance moves often compared to Michael Jackson's, fled before officers arrived, police said.
He remains free on $50,000 bail and, through his public relations firm, issued an apology for the incident that rocked the Grammys. Brown and Rihanna were both nominated; neither attended the ceremony.

Chris Brown's Father Speaks Out About Arrest
We're still waiting to hear from Chris Brown about his recent arrest, but in the meanwhile his biological father, Clinton Brown is speaking about his altercation with girlfriend Rihanna saying his son is "remorseful." "He's reflecting on this situation," Brown, 44, a corrections officer, tells People magazine in an interview at his home in Virginia. "He's very remorseful. He's very concerned about the situation and he wants to make sure that [Rihanna's] okay. This is unfortunate, this stumble, this situation," Brown continues. "Hopefully, he will get past it. We all have our shortcomings. We all trip." His father insists that there are "two sides to every story" and he doesn't want people to be quick to judge. "If you are on his side, you are on his side," he says. "Just because someone trips, if you are truly a fan, you are not going to demonize him instantaneously." Regardless of the situation Chris has found himself in, his father insists, "As a father, I couldn't be more proud. He's the light of my life." At this point everyone is going to be quick to jump to conclusions and the truth is, no one knows what really went down that night. While there's never an excuse for domestic violence, we're anxiously waiting to hear both Chris and Rihanna's side of the stories.

Rihanna takes gym-going very seriously
You know the difference between us and celebrities? They go to the gym a lot more.
In fact, they spend so much time in the gym, they don't even bother changing into normal outfits when they pop out to the supermarket. Or "grocery store", as our American cousins would call it.
And here's a case in point: Rihanna, snapped this weekend going to a grocery store and yet clearly dressed for the gym.
Although maybe she's just read all that stuff in magazines that tell us that you can work off 300 calories an hour doing the shopping, and so on? And got dressed accordingly. Now if only we'd caught her doing squat thrusts down Aisle Five....

Rihanna Wants To Tour With Winehouse
R&B sensation Rihanna wants Amy Winehouse to rid herself of drugs and alcohol so the pair can tour the U.S together.
Winehouse – who has been taking time out from her career after her much publicised drugs over dose on August 8 – looked fragile during her musical comeback at the Mercury Music Prize awards on Tuesday.
But the Umbrella star believes that all is but lost for the gifted soul singer.
"I'm worried about Amy” said the 19-year-old “I want her to get better as I love her.
"There's not a doubt in my mind she can still be successful in America even though she's been linked to drugs.
"It'd be awesome to go on tour with her in the States. I'd love her to join me."
How hot would that be?
Video Music Awards nominations rain down on Rihanna's "umbrella"
Rihanna is slated to perform at the 2007 MTV Video Music Awards Sunday night at 8 on MTV. and Beyoncé is a nominee at the 2007 MTV Video Music Awards, airing Sunday on MTV.
When it rains, it pours, and Rihanna can thank her Umbrella for a shower of MTV Video Music Award nominations.
The young singer has four bids going into the 2007 edition of the event, which the cable music channel televises Sunday, September 9, from the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas. She's also set to perform on the show, as are Kanye West, Foo Fighters, Fall Out Boy and Chris Brown.
So is Timbaland, slated for extra duty by hosting a 'Fantasy Suites' party with Justin Timberlake, who leads the pack (along with Beyoncé) with seven nominations.
Featuring Jay-Z, Umbrella - the first single off Rihanna's third CD, Good Girl Gone Bad - has been one of the top songs of the summer. It's a 2007 VMA nominee for video of the year and monster single of the year and has also garnered nods for Rihanna as female artist of the year and Chris Applebaum as best director.
Rihanna takes special pride in those acknowledgments since, as she says, "It's not the typical summer song. It's not up-tempo and not really a club song, just something very powerful that happened to come along at the right time. The first time I heard it, I fell in love with it. For once, I didn't think, 'I wonder if people are going to like it.' I knew what it was in my heart. I had my own instinct, and I felt it was going to do great."
Rihanna was right: The tune roared onto the airwaves in March, preceding the album's release by a couple of months and reaching the top of several Billboard magazine charts simultaneously. It displays another aspect of Rihanna's talent, following the energetic SOS and the introspective Unfaithful, her hits from the album A Girl Like Me that also gave her a big summer last year.
Musical variety
"That's key for me," the 19-year-old Barbados native says of her musical variety. "When I started, I didn't really have a plan. I was just very excited to have a record deal and make music and perform all over the world. I had a little more input on the second album, then the third album was where I really got into it. I wanted to change my image and my sound a bit, and I really wanted to show people my growth. When I leave this industry, I want to be remembered for being an individual."
Among the situations in which Rihanna has performed Umbrella, a standout for her was Live Earth, the international July concert to promote environmental awareness.
"It was such an honour to be there," she says. "It was a huge event all over the world, but it was also just a great show. I was in Japan, and the audience was amazing, to see them singing all the words. They may not speak any English, but they know all the words to all the songs."
Gratified as she is to have such fans, Rihanna also relies on a strong support system of friends. "I could not ask for better cheerleaders," she says. "They always have my back. They'll still let me know if something was just OK or really horrible, but they're team players, for sure."
Rihanna feels the same way about MTV, which showcased her American television debut at the MTV Movie Awards in June.
"From day one, they've played all my videos and helped support my albums," she says. "I show them so much love because they show it in turn."
In showing hers, Rihanna says she is planning "a very special performance" for the VMAs but adds, "I won't tell you anything!"
She also welcomes any chance to depart from the norm.
"I've performed SOS hundreds of times," she says, "and with something like Unfaithful, it's very deep, so you have to act it out every time. After a while, it can get to be like, 'OK, do I have to perform this again?' For some reason, though, every time I perform Umbrella is like the first time. It's always new."
Yielding singles
Good Girl Gone Bad is still in its early phase of yielding singles (among them Shut Up and Drive and Don't Stop the Music), so Rihanna isn't actively thinking about her next album yet. However, she reflects, "Being around Timbaland (on the day the VMA nominations were announced), it made me want to get back in the studio to make good music. I really enjoy working with people like him, but you have to step back and say to yourself, 'OK, hold off. You just put out an album.'
That could make the Video Music Awards challenging for Rihanna, since she'll be around many other stars she also considers inspirations.
"They have their own faith in things," she reasons, "and you can see their success. Kanye West, for instance, he has so much input into everything, and you see that it comes across as very authentic. Justin Timberlake is another one I really adore. I also love Fall Out Boy and, of course, Beyoncé and Madonna. Gwen Stefani is another great one.
"I love being at events like this," she continues. "You're working, but you're working with people who do the same thing as you. It's a great energy, with everyone getting along and making jokes. That's why I love award shows."
But don't suggest being nominated in next year's Grammy Awards to Rihanna, at least not yet.
"If it pops up in my mind, I just have to shut it down," she says. "I can't think about it. I'm getting nervous already."
Rihanna is slated to perform at the 2007 MTV Video Music Awards Sunday on MTV.
