Happy New Year to each and every one of you!!! I hope you have all had a magical Christmas and a wonderful start to 2012. I have had just over a week off work now and it has been bliss - completely chilled and not a worry in the world. I'm sure it will all be a distant memory once I get back to work on Tuesday, but for now I am one very happy bunny..!!
2011 has definitely been one of the fastest in history! It started off slowly with an intense work load for University then before I knew it, Summer was here and graduation arrived; now we are already in 2012 - where did all the time go?!
Here is my little run down of the past 12 months....
January - March
These months were potentially the most stressful of my life so far. A heady mix of final year exams and a 10,000 word dissertation to complete left little room for anything else. I did however find time to create a
60's make up look which I still love a year on and discover one of my all time favourite polishes -
OPI's Bring On The Bling. March saw a little let up on the work load and a visit to London for one of my best friend's birthdays which resulted in some of the most horrendous/hilarious photos of the year....
April - June
April and May were once again work-heavy with far too many hours spent in the library and more than enough junk food to give you a heart attack. The weather lightened up though and the Royal nuptials bought a bit of well needed joy to the nation. June brought a bitter-sweet end to my University life and with it numerous nights out, travels to cities across the UK and a very real and grown up job offer. Beauty wise, Bourjois Healthy Mix was discovered and a
FOTD created that has pretty much stuck since then!
July - September
My year really kicked off in July. University was over, I accepted my job offer and two months stretched ahead with no real responsibilities. I had so much fun with a day at Wireless Festival in Hyde Park, an amazing week in Spain with my best friends from University,
graduation and far too many nights out at home! I started working at the very end of August so September was spent adjusting but also allowed for lots of
play time at the weekends! I met some amazing people at work, started a love affair with Zumba,
received my first glossy box and
finally kicked my extension habit..! An amazing three months of the year - I would happily re-live these!!
October - December
The last three months have absolutely flown by. Working with amazing people has meant some fantastic Friday nights out and a steady income has meant my
love affair with shoes has truly blossomed! I attended the
Only Way Is Blogging which allowed me to meet some amazing girls and then hit London with two of my best friends for a classic night out.
Rose's blog ensured my weight loss stalled a little due to her amazing
Mars Bar Melts but I finally lost the stubborn stone that I had crept on during the last few months of University. I turned 23 at the end of November and had an amazing night out - I still need to show you all my beautiful presents! - and my gorgeous Grandad reached the amazing milestone of 90! December was a whirlwind of
nights out, work Christmas parties and trips to Winter Wonderland.
I also started a relationship with
eyelash extensions which I know will happily continue well in 2012...!!
All in all 2011 was so enjoyable but I have a feeling 2012 is going to be truly amazing....Happy New Year girls - let's make it the best yet!!
