Sooo, on to today's ramblings....I was reading an interview with my icon Kelly Brook. I seriously have a little crush on her I think..! Basically the jist of it was, that it is a full time job to look that good with all the time spent preening and primping.... This got me thinking...I spend so much time, effort and money attempting to look my very best - as I'm sure we all do being part of this community - and I'm not even in the public eye! Sometimes I ponder how much more time I would have if I didn't spend hours styling my hair, painting my nails, fake tanning.. etc etc etc!
But the reality is, I love it. That's why I blog - I'm addicted to cosmetics and pampering myself to my little heart's content! But if I could go the beauty salon whenever I wished I would definitely let someone else deal with these beauty commitments:
- Hair removal - eurgh so time consuming and, especially in the summer, it is such a regular upkeep. If those Boots IPL things that are going around work, I will seriously think about investing in one. Permanent hair removal?? Sign me up!
- Fake Tanning/Exfoliation - A weekly full body exfoliation and fake tan would be so fantastic - no worrying about missed or streaky areas. I would have to get used to the paper knickers though...
- Daily blowdries - Oh my gosh could you imagine how amazing that would be?! One day when I'm earning the big bucks I'll have my own hair dresser and I won't have to battle with the curling tongs anymore...
- Weekly pedicures - With feet, the prettier the better... And a beautician can always do a better job on your tootsies than you can yourself!
As for everything else, I enjoy it. I love painting my nails and playing with my make up. I'm sure I'd get fed up of someone doing my hair for me too....but it's be a luxury for a little while!
What beauty commitments can't you stand and wish someone else would do for you?!
